The Vitality Music Group was  founded in 2010 by two Chicago B Boys and former graffiti taggers, Eric “Chill” Smith and Reggie “Redd” Cooper. It is also one of the home base studios for Joe Blacula. Everything began once Eric gave Reggie a phone call one day to get his thoughts on starting a label with a home-based studio and Reggie agreed. After going thru a series of hurdles with Illinois tax laws, Eric and Reggie used there finish carpentry skills to build a soundproof studio in Dolton, Illinois. Timothy “Timmy G” Peoples, a childhood friend of Eric’s, was signed in 2011 to Vitality Music Group, after his time with being in a group with Kanye West had ended. 

The company is currently finalizing the first solo project from Timmy G titled “Thinking Like a Millionaire”, an instrumental compilation titled “Beatz For Rhymes VOL. 1”,  as well as other projects for VMG signees Beno & Qwilla entitled 
“The QB Project”.
