HardCore Pawn Ography

Hardcore Pawn has to be one of the best reality shows on television because it is a true reflection of where we are in todays society. The pawn shop is located in Detroit, Michigan, and is a true representation of the fact that our economy is going down the toilet. All kinds of people come through the doors of American Jewelry & Loan with all kinds of items for sale. It gets good once people become upset that they can't get the amount that they are asking for. If you get loud with the staff, one way or another you will get exited out of the doors by security. That's when it gets good!! People have brought all kinds of things from baseball cards, to a horse!! It's a family run business with the father Les as the head, and his two kids and his co owners and management. It's usually all kinds of arguing between the staff and customers, as well as between Les and his 2 adult offspring. I can tell that the arguing between the 2 kids goes back to when they were very young. Check out the Facebook page for the show.

Welcome to my mindset. (The Inaugural Ball)

I watch a lot of television.....I mean I watch A LOT of television!! I try to watch at the least 40 hours a week of a combo of televison and movies. This includes whatever I can find on cable as well as Red Box movie rentals. Half of those 40 hours are dedicated to a strong daily diet of ESPN & ESPN2. May day doesn't start off properly without seeing Mike & Mike and First Take, and it will end badly without Around The Horn http://sports.espn.go.com/espnradio/podcast/archive?id=2839445 & Pardon The Interruption. http://espn.go.com/espnradio/podcast/archive?id=2406595 Surprisingly, i've noticed that I can catch up on all of my current events by watching the monologues from Conan http://teamcoco.com/, Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jon Stewart's Daily Show. http://www.thedailyshow.com/ 40 hours of television would be the average work week for most, and it shouldn't be a problem seeing that I will soon be getting PAID for speaking on what I watch. I also make sure that I get a daily dose of local Chicago news, national news, and late night world news. I've come to the conclusion that I actually like television and movies over radio, thus the reason I have added video media as one of my MAJOR majors. One of the main things that I watch are reality shows. And when I say "reality shows", I mean the really bad ones that come on VH1. You know the ones that I'm talking about! The ones that every black organization wants to have banned from our visuals. I can't say that I honestly blame them either. They don't really show us in the best possible situations, but how many of us can say that WE are in the "best" possible situation!! The difference between them and us is that they're getting compensated for their ignorance and have cameras in their faces. My focal point will be a weekly review of what I have watched in ALL genre's and give a small slice of what I feel about what i've watched.

Besides the obvious shows that air on VH1, here are a few of my less obvious favorites that I can't go without.
